Role: CT Clinical Specialist
Job Type: (Permanent, 40 hours pw)
Location: Galway City
Organisation: Private
Salary: 53,561-63,266 per annum

TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting for a CT Clinical Specialist for a Private Hospital Based in Galway City. This Hospital is a state of the art 146 bed hospital which provides 24 hour health care services. There are in excess of 140 highly skilled Physicians and Surgeons covering a wide variety of specialties.

They introduced vital services such as Oncology treatment and Cardiac services to the West of Ireland in 2004. They provides the widest range of treatment for prostate cancer in Ireland.
They also provide the latest technologies in Radiology Imaging with services including 3T MRI, Cardiac CT, PET CT, Digital Mammography, CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray.

Overview of role:
•Manage a busy CT department
•Organize daily work schedule and respond to emergencies as they occur.
•Perform QA checks on equipment; clean and perform minor maintenance procedures. Log problems including usage and alert Radiology Manager as appropriate.
•Be accountable for the quality of the service provided, including customer service and technical aspects
•Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols and guidelines to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and systematic audit of such usage
•Contribute to the preparation of plans for the service - monitor and report on their implementation. Implement and maintain accurate information systems for clinical data in accordance with hospital standards
•Maintain accurate records of equipment service, maintenance, malfunction, downtime and performance as required and co-ordinate preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with clinical demand and Department policy
•Maintain up to date knowledge of clinical, technical and radiographic developments in relation to CT and promote awareness of new developments. Ensure that best practices are implemented and maintained
•Participate in continuing education.
•Perform on-call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
•Provide for patient care; comfort, safety and patient confidentiality.
•Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of Meditech and PACS.

You will be:

•CORU Registration
•Have the diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or have a Bachelor of Science or its equivalent in (Diagnostic Radiography).
•Hold a Higher Diploma in CT or its equivalent supported by a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in a broad range of CT examinations
•A minimum of 6 years' experience working in CT.
•Have proven Clinical, Leadership, Managerial & Customer Care skills
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Flexibility in work practices.
