Medical Practitioner (Doctor)

Bangor, Gwynedd

£72K Per Annum

Monday – Friday 37.5 per week

Opportunity for doctors to join The Health Assessment Advisory Service conducting assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions.

We are looking to recruit a Registered Medical Practitioners (Doctors) to work with The Health Assessment Advisory Service carrying out assessments on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.

Opportunities exist for doctors who would like to apply for part-time work, minimum 3 days each week, salary would be pro-rata.

Responsibility:

• You will undertake a combination of file-work and face-to-face assessments of customers in relation to a variety of benefits

• To provide a detailed concise report which would be submitted to the DWP for a final decision

• Reviewing medical evidence in a written or electronic format to determine the suitability of a face-to-face assessment.

• Assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day to or life in performing work related activities

• Some traveling would be expected to other assessment centre within the region

Requirements:

• Full registration with the relevant professional body GMC

• Copy of last Appraisal

• Right to work (UK Citizen)

• 4 years good broad-based clinical experience gained in a clinical setting FY2 or above

• Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive, empathetic, and professional manner

• Strong computer and IT skills.

• The ability to work autonomously, and as part of an in targeted team

• Ability to work under pressure, and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to learning and your professional development

• Willing to travel around the region
