We are looking for a qualified and experienced Pharmacist who is looking for the challenge of delivering a comprehensive hospital pharmacy service at Spire X Hospital. As a Pharmacist at Spire, you won't just be based in the Pharmacy itself, you will have lots of contact with patients to discuss their pharmaceutical requirements, review medication history, current prescriptions and relevant clinical data.
All our clinical teams are focused on delivering personalised care, and our Pharmacists play a key role in treating patients with empathy and compassion. You'll also provide advice and support to consultants, nurses and other clinicians ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines throughout the hospital. One of the things our Pharmacists enjoy most about working at Spire is the feeling of being in a team with the wider hospital. Our hospitals are relatively small, enabling you to build strong working relationships with colleagues and consultants and to work together to improve patient outcomes.
It is a great place to develop your skills, because here at Spire we are always looking for our Pharmacists to keep up to date with the latest developments in prescribing practice. This can lead to opportunities for you to implement new processes or procure new equipment to improve health outcomes and increase safety throughout the hospital. We are also regularly broadening the range of clinical services we offer, which brings opportunities for our Pharmacists to advance their knowledge in treating different patient groups, conditions and treatments.
Our 'bank workers' work ad hoc shifts as and when required to suit business needs, often to cover busy periods, sickness or annual leave.
An enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service or Disclosure Scotland will be applied for in the event of a successful application.
