Theatre Practitioner - BRAND NEW Specialist Eye Hospital

Bristol - South West  

£28,000 - £34,680      

Full Time Contract / DAYS ONLY          

   

         

Remit    

                                       

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a brand-new specialist eye hospital that is due to open in Bristol in December. The hospital will boast brand new equipment and a brand-new team and will provide care to both NHS and private patients throughout the local area.     

     

Our client has several hospitals throughout the UK and is one of the leading providers of NHS eye patient services and became the largest NHS cataract surgery provider in the UK. Alongside cataract surgery, the company also offers other ophthalmology services including treatments for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), YAG Laser Capsulotomy and Vitrectomy.

The Candidate    

                 

Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated ODP / Nurse who has a keen interest in ophthalmology. You must have experience in scrub however, ophthalmic experience isn't required as full training will be provided. You will be assisting Surgeons with the following surgeries: Cataracts, Glaucoma, Refractive Surgery, Retinal Surgery, and Oculoplastic Surgery.      

                                                                         

This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in all aspects of the Ophthalmic Pathway and gives you the ability expand and develop your own skills. Shift patterns are from 07:30 - 17:30 and you will be working 4 days per week from Monday - Saturday with only 1 in 4 Saturdays.           

         

           

Essential Requirements    

                         

- Registered Practitioner with NMC/HCPC registration            

- Scrub experience in theatres        

- Good interpersonal and communication skills            

- Passion for high quality patient safety and care

Location        

               

This role is based in Bristol, and is commutable from Gloucester, Bath, Somerset, Weston super mare, Cirencester and Swindon.
