If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding Healthcare Support worker role and want to develop your clinical care package skills in an environment where no two days are the same then this could be the new job for you!

HMP Foston Hall is a closed female prison holding up to 347 women who range from remand to long term. Healthcare does not currently have inpatient beds but does have three safer custody rooms. The prison is operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service.

This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis including weekends and Bank holidays.

What will you need to do the job?

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a Support Worker in a Primary Care setting including GP surgeries, hospitals and has proven experience in clinical observations such as performing ECG, Phlebotomy.

What will you be doing?

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is up to £22,000 FTE depending on experience.

We recognise training and development is key, therefore we have training centres to facilitate your needs.

If you are new to offender health, we will create a suitable induction package to ensure you are equipped for this role.
