Clinical Psychologist - Specialist School - Full/Part Time

Doncaster

Salary: £45,000 - £51,000 (may be negotiable DOE)

Remit

Compass Associates are proudly working with a specialist provider of learning disabilities' residential and education services to recruit a Clinical Psychologist. This is a permanent role working either full or part time hours.

 

You would be based at a small specialist school for children aged 11-19 with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, challenging behaviours and complex needs. Your role would involve carrying out comprehensive assessments, formulating therapy plans and delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions. The school uses a Positive Behaviour Support approach and has an onsite therapy team which includes Occupational Therapists, SALTs, PBS Practitioners and Clinical Psychologists. You would also have input into a nearby residential home for young adults (aged 19 - 25) who have autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

 

This is an exciting role with career progression opportunities as my client has a new specialist school, in West Yorkshire, which is opening in 2021.

 

Commutable from: Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Scunthorpe,  Worksop, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark, Lincoln, Leeds, Barnsley, Dewsbury, Goole, Pontefract and surrounding towns.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have:

HCPC registration

A Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology

A minimum of 2 years' experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours - ideally children and young people but would consider applications from candidates with adult LD/ASD experience

 

Interview Process

Face to face or Zoom interview with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Head of Therapeutic Services.
