Job Description

Clinical Fellow in Urology
Start date October 2020

The Urology Department at St George’s NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint 4 registrar level trainees to work within the reconstructive urology, endourology, andrology and oncology teams. These posts are not recognised for training but are suitable for a training urologist wishing to gain further experience.

The posts are ideal for a urologist who wants to gain further experience and to be more competitive at National Selection or someone who has completed higher Urological training and wants to undertake a fellowship.

The successful candidates must be GMC registered and have at least 1 year of urological experience at core level. The appointees will participate in the Urology middle grade on-call rota (frequency 1 in 10).

An interest in research, audit and teaching is desirable.

The posts are available for 12 months, and subject to satisfactory review can be extended for a further year.

Interviews will be held in July 2020

We expect all our staff to share the values that are important to the trust – being excellent, kind, responsible and respectful – and behave in a way that reflects these. More information on the vision and values of St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is attached below.

Please note that this vacancy may close before the advertised closing date if sufficient applicants are received. Please check your email regularly as all candidates shortlisted for interview will be contacted and informed by email or via NHS Jobs.

As part of you pre-employment checks, we will also be required to obtain satisfactory, written references. Please ensure that the referee details which you provide on your application form are correct. We require atleast one written reference from your current or most recent line manager. We are only able to accept references from a professional work email address.
