Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia
Nodal Point - 4 - £49,036 p.a excl. of LZ
Full Time - 40 hours per week
Fixed Term - 6 months
Applications are invited for Post-CCT Clinical Fellows posts to start between August 2020 and August 2021. Some flexibility is anticipated in light of the current COVID 19 pandemic. The posts will be for an initial period of 6 months, however following review can be extended to 12 months. The posts are suitable for anaesthetists who have finished their training and are looking to build their sub-specialty experience prior to taking up substantive consultant posts. The post will be divided equally between specialty educational fellowship and consultant level delivered service. The fellowships will allow contributions to quality improvement projects, service development, teaching and research. It may be possible to combine two specialties over a one year period.
The following sub-specialty areas will be offered:
The post will provide the following:
- Experience in Clinical anaesthesia in the chosen specialist area
- Opportunity to originate or participate in research and audit projects within the specialist area
- Opportunity for teaching and workshop development in the specialist area.
- Experience offering service in anaesthesia at a consultant level
There will be a minimum of four sessions per week dedicated to the sub-specialty area; either in theatre or developing projects. The remaining 4 sessions would be dedicated to delivering anaesthesia service at consultant level.

The Trust is part of a world-leading Academic Health Sciences Centre; King's Health Partners. Anaesthesia is part of a Clinical Academic group within this collaboration.
