Band 6 SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST - Neurosciences

Fixed Term - 12 Months (37.5 hours/week across seven days)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the physiotherapy service at St George’s Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital to employ a Band6 physiotherapist as part of the neurosciences team. This post is part ofthe Neurosciences rotation scheme in the following areas: Neurosurgery, Neuro-Outreach, Acute stroke (HASU and ASU), Tertiary acute neurology, Neuro-outpatients and Neuro-rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the neurosciences physiotherapy team providing a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to people with neurological conditions within St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In addition, the successful candidate will need to be ableto participatein the supervision and teaching of physiotherapists, assistant staff, and physiotherapy students and to participate in the on-call and weekend rota.

It is essential that you have a minimum of18 monthspost-registration experience, which must include at least 1 year’s NHS experience (which may have been as an undergraduate). We are strongly committed to evidence-based practice, professional and personal development as well as service development. There is a well-established in-service education programme and attendance at relevant postgraduate training is negotiable.
