UCLH is an Acute Trust with a Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit, dedicated Cancer Centre, ENT and Dental Hospital and is opening the 2 nd NHS Proton Beam Centre in the UK in 2020. The Trust has close academic links with University College London and through this Imaging is participating in the SUMMIT trial by providing low dose lung CT as part of a regional research lung screening program... The Radiology Department is part of the Imaging Division along with Nuclear Medicine and supports sub-specialty and general services across 4 sites across the Trust, including the MacMillan Cancer Centre, UCH at Westmoreland Street & the Royal Ear, Nose, Throat and Dental Hospital. As part of both an Acute and Specialist Trust the Imaging Division operates within North, Central London STP.

The reporting radiographer team is well established and fully embedded within the MDT, reporting chest and abdominal X-rays, as well as axial and appendicular. The Division is fully supportive of advanced practice and we are looking to establish a new consultant radiographer role in plain film reporting.

Job Title; Consultant Plain Film Reporting Radiographer 8b

We are looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Consultant Reporting Radiographer to join our team and lead the reporting plain film service. The role has both clinical and managerial responsibilities. The post requires line management of a small team of reporting radiographers and responsibility for the management of the plain film worklist. You would be expected to lead on training, audit and governance for plain film reporting. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills. You should have demonstrable teaching abilities with the expectation to provide teaching for staff both within the department and for other multidisciplinary teams.

The department is keen to facilitate continual professional development and all staff are actively supported in this area with close academic links with City University and University College.
