Job Description

Principal Aseptic Services Pharmacist - Parenteral Nutrition & CIVAS

This is an exciting new post to oversee the PN and CIVAS licensed and section 10 operations at Guy's and St Thomas. In addition to maintain the existing service, there is an exciting agenda of product development automation, unit consolidation and equipment investment to oversee. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of experts in their field to meet these innovative and challenging objectives. Key role objectives are:
  • To lead the strategic development, oversight and monitoring of aseptic production services of parenteral nutrition (PN) and centralised intravenous additive services (CIVAS) to the Trust and to external customers.
  • To develop contamination control strategies and other procedural changes to maintain compliance with current and developing regulatory requirements
  • To support the aseptic production manager as nominated on the MHRA specials and IMP manufacturing licenses (MS/MIA (IMP) 13387/01), deputizing for them in their absence and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • To act as an accountable pharmacist and lead, deliver, develop and evaluate the dispensing of PN and & CIVAS to Trust patients.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the requirements of the PN and CIVAS quality management system are maintained and developed as required by regulatory guidance.

You will be experienced in aseptic manufacturingand be able to demonstrate how you have lead and motivated a production team managing demand, resource and quality in a robust manner. You will have expert knowledge and experience of GMP and be able to inspire and ensure regulatory compliance across your teams

Reflecting on your previous experience, you will be able to identify areas of development and opportunity within our serviceand communicate and champion these to your staff and wider Trust management
