Clinical Fellow in Reproductive Medicine -

Full Time

Applications are invited for post in the St Bartholomew's Hospital Centre for Reproductive Medicine & surgery

This is one-year post starting as soon as possible with a possibility of extension for a second year depending on clinical and research assessment. The posts offer training in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine & Minimal access surgery.

The post may have some general Obstetrics & Gynaecology on call commitments at the Royal London Hospital (please see job descriptions for the details) and is for 12 months in the first instance depending on clinical and research assessment. Further extension by mutual agreement will depend on satisfactory assessment.

The post is based at St Bartholomew's Centre for Reproductive Medicine & Surgery The post-holder may be required to participate in the on-call rota for Obstetrics & Gynaecology at The Royal London Hospital.

The posts offer excellent training programme in all aspects of reproductive endocrinology, medicine, surgery and assisted conception. The post-holder will be expected to join existing audits and research projects in fertility management, male infertility and reproductive surgery and will have the opportunity to author research papers.

The post is open to qualified doctors with GMC registration. A full MRCOG qualification is desirable. Experience with gynaecological ultrasonography is an advantage.

The ethos of the Unit is to provide the highest care for patients and so the post-holder will be supervised to enable him/her to reach high standards of expertise. There may also be an opportunity to train in minimal access related surgical procedures. There will be the opportunity to undertake the Advanced Training Specialty Module (ATSM) in fertility provided the successful candidate meets the deanery criteria. The centre is RCOG accredited for fertility management and ART training.
