Band 7 Physiotherapist - Lane Fox Unit, St Thomas's Hospital
Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust is the one of the largest teaching Hospital Foundation Trusts in the country, employing over 180 physiotherapy staff.
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist with proven clinical skills to join the respiratory physiotherapy team at GSTFT. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in operational and clinical management in the Lane Fox Unit which provides physiotherapy input to a 14 bedded specialist weaning and ventilating unit. The post is supported by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and Clinical Lead. The post also offers close collaboration with the specialist rehabilitation team as well as the home ventilation team.
You will have had experience at a senior level including acute respiratory care and evidence of an interest in developing further in this area. An excellent communicator you will demonstrate a desire to work creatively to bring about innovative service development withincritical careand wider respiratory team. A strong commitment to training at undergraduate and post-graduate levels and an interest in research is desirable.
The respiratory physiotherapy service has a high profile within the Trust and currently provides a 7-day service, reflecting the physiotherapy department's commitment to meeting patient needs and delivering excellence. It is essential the post holder be able to contribute fully to on call out of hours services.
