Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Place of Safety Team in Canterbury. This is an exciting and brand new opportunity for staff who enjoy the challenge of working in an acute front line mental health service.

We are looking for caring and highly motivated health care workers who can demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to working with people who have been detained on a Section 136 of the MHA at Canterbury, Place of Safety which accommodates one individual detained on a Section 136 of the MHA.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to support individuals in theCanturbury Place of Safety

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate a positive and proactive approach in meeting the individual nursing care needs of detained persons in the suite which will encompass safety and risk management.

The successful applicants would benefit of having a good understanding of Section 136 of the MHA, & complex needs such as dual diagnosis and the impact on mental health and wellbeing.

In addition successful applicants will require excellent communication and de- escalation skills and will be required to successfully complete PSS training.
