Are you looking for a development opportunity and a new challenge? Are you an enthusiastic, motivated Dietitian with previous experience in Oncology particularly in Head & Neck Cancer.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Band 7 Oncology Dietitian with specialist Head and Neck experience to join the Head & Neck and Oncology service at Barts Health. The main clinical area will be within Head & Neck however there will be an expectation for the post holder to have an oversight on the Dietetic Oncology service on the St Bartholomew & Royal London sites with management support. The post will be split across the 2 sites.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and active team player with excellent communication skills to be part of the Head & Neck team. You will work alongside the band 6 Oncology/ H& N Dietitian and have line management responsibility for the band 6 Haematology -Oncology Dietitian.

There is a need for good organizational and time management skills with a proactive working style, equipping you to work effectively with patients, carers, and a wide range of health and non-health professionals in both hospital and the community. You will also require good all round IT skills in order to enable you to collect and analyse quality and outcome data.

The role is highly valued, diverse and includes: -

- Providing a comprehensive dietetic service to inpatient & outpatient adult patients, including Radiotherapy clinic

-Teaching and education role eg medical students and dietetic students on clinical placement.
- Reviewing and establishing new ways of working and establishing clinical supervision networks.
- Auditing local clinical outcomes and benchmarking practice and outcomes of diet interventions with other Cancer Centres to inform future practice.
- Contributing actively to national initiatives on behalf of the Head & Neck team.
