Band 6 Quality Control Lead Radiographer
Weston General Hospital Radiology Department is looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Lead Quality Control Radiographer for the department. This is a new and exciting role for an existing Band 6 or Band 5 radiographer with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Plain film imaging lead and the reporting radiographers to ensure a programme of continuous quality improvement is implemented. They will be responsible for training new staff of all grades in equipment Quality Control procedures and will working closely with Medical Physics and manufacturers to discuss outcomes of equipment testing. Troubleshooting and problem solving skills are essential to support this role and experience of involvement in audit and practice improvement is desirable.
We require staff with excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude; commitment and passion to deliver and improve the service. Weston General Hospital Radiology Department is accredited by ISAS, and all members of the radiology department are expected and encouraged to play an active role within this. You will be a valuable member of a team of radiographers delivering a quality led, caring and timely plain film imaging service. Role development is encouraged and the department is committed to post graduate training and supporting CPD. Applicants will be expected to be involved in training student radiographers.

The large, diverse cities of Bristol and Bath are only a short journey by car or train, and our convenient location just off Junction 21 of the M5 means the rest of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall are virtually on the doorstep.
