Job Description

Due to exciting growth within the Bedford area, we are seeking Health Care Assistants and Support workers for our clients based in our new residential unit in Bedford

we are looking for a individual who would like to work with young adults with learning disabilities/ challenging behaviour. the individual must have a good understanding of professional boundaries.

the shifts we currently have are 7 days a week

7am to 1430pm

7am to 2pm

230 to 10 pm

and possible nights

As a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker, you will be providing support within a variety of diverse settings ranging from elderly, learning disability or mental health. - No 2 days will ever be the same.

Your day-to-day duties will vary dependent on site, but will include: * Washing and dressing residents * Serving meals and helping to feed patients * Helping people to move around * Toileting * Talking to patients and making them comfortable * Monitoring patients' conditions and raising any concerns with senior member of staff, nurses or GP's * Administrating medication * Updating care plans * Liaise with other professionals and residents family * Support residents in activities

We are keen to recruit candidates with a minimum of 6 months care experience within a care environment either private or public and who are looking to develop and grow as either a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker. The following are also desirable:

* The necessary proof of Right to Work * A valid DBS or happy to purchase at a cost * Mandatory care training in date or happy to attend our professional practical care training * Good communication and listening skills * Adaptable and a commitment to booked shifts * A driver or easy access to transport routes

We have a variety of early, night, long day, waking nights and sleep-in shifts ranging from part-time or full time hours and to suit your personal, study or career lifestyle. We also have access to shifts not advertised with other
