Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Core) in Oncology to start as soon as possible until 04 August 2020.

This post is suitable for doctors wishing to enhance their general medical competencies and skills, or considering a career in Oncology as the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the three ward-based Specialty Registrars (ST1) and one Foundation House Officer Two and one additional Clinical Fellow (Core) in the day to day care and management of in-patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and palliative care.

There will also be opportunity to see outpatients, participate in multi-disciplinary clinics for the management of solid tumours and gain experience of Acute Oncology, radiotherapy and to participate in research and audit projects.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
