Job Description

The Women's Services Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking 2 enthusiastic patient pathway co-ordinators to support the Gynaecology and Gynae Oncology admin teams. The Patient Pathway Co-ordinator roles are full time permanent positions reporting to Service Manager for Gynaecology and Deputy Service Manager for Gynae Oncology.

x1 Band 4 Gynae Oncology Patient Pathway Co-ordinator

TheGynae Oncology role will require you to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Gynae-Oncology department managing rapid access clinics and theatre lists, as well as working alongside management to ensure delivery against our performance goals including the two week wait, 62 day, 31 day and the FDS cancer targets. Your role will involve PTL validation for patients referred on the suspected cancer pathway. You will work closely with clinicians, managers and other staff across the Trust. You will help to deliver high standards of care and a quality, patient-centered service with an ethos around continuous improvement. You will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. You will be effective in managing your time, workload and priorities. You will be focused on outcomes and motivated by your drive to deliver the highest quality care while ensuring the best possible patient experience. You will be characterised by your commitment to service excellence, and the development of a skilled and caring multi-professional team.

x1 Band 4 Gynaecology Patient Pathway Co-ordinator

The Gynaecology Patient Pathway Co-ordinator role will be responsible for validation of the Gynaecology PTL . You must be flexible to the needs of the service, attend meetings when necessary and have excellent communication skills. This role demands that you work well as part of a team, be professional at all times, multi-task, be able to prioritise and work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work. You will have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and will be passionate about providing a high quality customer service to your patients and colleagues. In addition to this, it is vital to have a strong sense of when to escalate to the clinical team and/or manager. The successful applicant will be expected to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people and work closely with the Service Manager to enhance the overall experience for our patients.
