The successful candidate will take be an integral member of our innovative and effective MDTs. This will include providing a psychological perspective for every patient, undertaking psychological assessments and brief interventions and guiding decision making in relation to risk and care planning for people with highly complex and enduring mental health needs. A core function of the role is to support the staff team in their delivery of compassionate. Trauma-informed care; as such advanced skills in supervision and training is highly desirable. The post holder will be proactive in continual service improvement and will promote a positive image of people with mental ill health difficulties.
You should have experience of working in inpatient services and of working with adults with significant mental health problems. You will be expected to demonstrate evidence of experience in service development and in leadership roles within previous jobs.
You will be required to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist. You will report to the locality lead for Tees AMH for day to day clinical issues and be expected to work closely with them to support a coherent approach to psychology provision in Tees AMH.
We provide excellent opportunities for peer support/supervision, CPD, teaching/training, and research and audit in line with strategic developments. There are also strong links to the local Teesside D Clin Psy Programme as we are key providers of academic and clinical experience components both in terms of teaching and supervision.

The post holder may be required to work across multiple sites in Teesside.
