Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (equivalent to FHO2) to commence from the 01 April 2019 until the 04 August 2020.

The duties of this post are those of a Clinical Fellow (Core) level working on the SHO rota in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

With this in mind the post holds the potential opportunity for further career development in both clinical and academic areas for an ambitious applicant.

In order to be considered applicants must:
  • Ideally have experience working on an Obstetrics and Gynaecology rota
  • Aim to work towards then MRCOG and ideally hold their part 1
  • Ideally want to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Have full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application

Please note that this post is not recognised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for MRCOG, and does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.

Although this is not a training post, CUH is a teaching hospital and the training opportunities are equitable to those of trainees.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
