The Forensic Mental Health services specialise in the assessment and treatment of offenders with mental health conditions, serving the community of Kent and Medway. The medium secure service provides 65 inpatient beds for both men and women.
Occupational Therapy staff are recognised as essential, core members of the multi-disciplinary team and as well as personal and clinical development opportunities, we offer regular supervision, preceptorship and support for CPD activities.

Are you someone who enjoys using your core skills as an Occupational Therapist and are looking to consolidate your skills in mental health? We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who has an interest in providing care to this group of patients.
The successful applicant will work as a member of the Occupational Therapy team providing care to service users in the in-patient setting. The main responsibilities include working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to manage a caseload of patients and offering OT assessments and interventions. You would help co-ordinate and deliver a programme of individual and group work as part of the OT service. There will be opportunities to develop programmes of activities according to need, and to work across a wide range of clinical areas including acute, rehabilitation and women's services. There will also be opportunities to deliver treatment programmes in conjunction with multi-disciplinary colleagues.
Interviews will be held at Trevor Gibbens Unit on 12/12/19.
This post is subject to a six month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
