We are taking a new and innovative approach to increasing the access to therapy services for our acute services. In response to our service users' needs and the demand for access to therapy across the 7 day period we have increased our Occupational Therapy posts to be able to support this new way of working. As Occupational Therapists we are positioned to shape the culture of inpatient settings to promote a therapeutic day that co-exists to enhance therapeutic interventions and recovery focused ethos on the units. This post will sit within the MDT team and will have support and access to a much We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to lead the OT ward team on Jasmine Ward. Jasmine Ward is a 16 bedded mixed sex dementia & functional ward. You will be responsible for leading your team in providing OT assessments and interventions for both individuasl and groups, and will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic and creative environment within a multidisciplinary team which will provide interventions across the extended day, everyday. You will work closely with the Ward manager & Deputies, support workers and nursing team to provide a therapeutic programme that supports the use of activity and recovery. You will also support the ward activity and undertake tasks that support the nursing roles and that maximises service user experience. Occupational Therapists are recognised as essential, core members of the multi-disciplinary team and are in the forefront of developing recovery and therapeutic interventions.
