As a member of the Finance team you’ll play an integral role in the Health in Justice service within Care UK’s Health Care Division.

Focused with an eye for detail, you’ll excel at developing relationships with operational colleagues and supporting the Heads of Healthcare within our Midlands region (12 sites in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Worcestershire).

You'll support the Senior Finance Manager in driving enhanced business performance and decision making, supported by the proactive utilisation of financial information and business analysis and the successful implementation of new projects.

About the role

You'll support the Senior Finance Manager in driving enhanced business performance and decision making, supported by the proactive utilisation of financial information and business analysis and the successful implementation of new projects.

This will rely on you engaging with key stakeholders, by maintaining clear communications and visiting sites and head offices when required. Using your competencies in the technical aspects of accountancy, you'll manage reporting for a number of operating units including the preparation of financial and non-financial information along with detailed commentaries; manage forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ownership of management information, monitoring performance against contracted targets and understanding market trends, risks and opportunities.

A full JD is available upon request.

A bit about you

You'll be a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience within the health sector. You'll be able to utilise your strong financial analyst and commercial experience (reviewing contracts / negotiating with stakeholders), as well as demonstrating your proven track record of implementing change programmes.

You'll have a keen eye for detail, possess sound competency in Microsoft Office packages and be able to work flexibly, to prioritise tasks, manage your time and meet tight deadlines accordingly. It goes without saying that you'll have great communication skills and be able to influence the operations of the business.
