We are seeking a committed and suitably experienced Nurse or Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to lead the Lymphoedema Service at our clients Hospice based in Central London ( Travelcard Zone 1 ). This role is within easy reach of TfL and National Rail services.
An established charity-status centre of excellence for over 160 years, this specialist 19 bedded Hospice offers comprehensive palliative care to a wide variety of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
With the belief that their patients are entitled to live life to the fullest throughout their illness with dignity, empathy and respect - this unique London centre of excellence offers a very high standard of end-of-life nursing care.
You will work primarily to support patients attending outpatient clinics providing treatment, advice and education for patients, and advice and education for carers and healthcare professionals.
You will work as a Hospice Head of Department, and play an active role in working with the Hospice Senior Management Team to deliver excellence in service delivery, placing the Hospice at the forefront of its field, both locally and nationally.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of a team of 2 lymphoedema practitioners, and an administrator
A Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with full NMC/HCPC registration as appropriate.
To hold an approved certificate as a Lymphoedema Therapist (Folid, Vodder, Casely-Smith, Leduc or equivalent)
Current or recent UK-based Palliative Care experience.
Experience in the teaching of junior qualified colleagues and students.
