We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Respiratory Physiotherapist to join the service at our client's Respiratory High Dependency team for mechanically ventilated long-term weaning rehabilitation adult patients, based within the grounds of the local NHS Acute Trust site in Redhill, Surrey .
This is initially offered as a one year fixed term maternity leave contract on a 30 hour per week basis, although we may be interested in hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate a full-time post. The salary is up to a maximum of £43,000 pro-rata'd to 30 hours.
This purpose-built 20 bedded specialist unit is a joint Private-NHS facility as a satellite to a major NHS central London NHS Trust providing inpatient care for those failing to wean from invasive ventilation fin addition to investigating chronic respiratory failure resulting from a variety of causes such as: COPD, neuromuscular disease, chest wall disease, and chronic respiratory failure.
The centre is a specialist training resource for health professionals and carers involved in the care of complex respiratory patients.
This is a post which will provide you with experience that will enhance your professional development and enable you to progress within the field of Respiratory care. It provides you with a great opportunity to work with clinical experts in this specialist field.
Physiotherapist with full HCPC registration.
To have in depth respiratory knowledge, good communication skills along with the ability to provide management and leadership.
You will be actively involved with the day to day centre management.
Experience in the teaching of junior Physiotherapists and students.
