Job Description

KMPT is creating an environment for equal opportunities for all, where we can ALL be ourselves.

It's an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2019!
This is an opportunity to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions within a secondary care psychological therapies service.
Intent on bringing innovative ideas into practice, this service is forward thinking and flexible in providing a good quality psychological therapy service to adults who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
You would be part of a team of 9 psychological therapists in secondary care, with practitioners in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, CBT, CAT, specialist counselling and art psychotherapy.
You would be responsible for offering a range of high quality therapeutic interventions including CBT, across the South West Kent locality. You will have plenty of scope and backing to develop your own practice, whilst providing a highly professional service to the community services.
The Psychological Therapy Services in South West Kent are committed to providing support, excellent supervision and to developing their staff. In return, for the right candidate, you can expect an established and cohesive team, flexible working hours and solid administrative support.
The Service has strong links with the Christchurch Canterbury University Doctoral Training Course in Clinical Psychology to which it regularly provides both 1st year and specialist clinical placements.
If you are applying as a counselling or clinical psychologist you will have a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS approved qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and be practicing CBT alongside other approaches.
If applying as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist you will need to be BABCP accredited.
Employment in this post is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
This post is subject to a six month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
