Fixed Term - 6 - 12 months
Full Time

Applications are invited for 2 Clinical Fellow posts (ST3 equivalent) in the Clinical Haematology department at Guy's Hospital, part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), to start as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for the post-holder to join a center of excellence specialising in haemophilia, haemoglobinopathies, haemato-oncology, haemostasis and transfusion medicine. The post-holder will be working with our team of 12 specialist haematology trainees with support from 22 consultant haematology colleagues, 12 clinical nurse specialists, 3 physicians' associates, and 9 CMTs & FY1/2/3 doctors.
The post will provide excellent haematology experience and plentiful educational opportunities for the post-holder, who will be encouraged to participate in various clinical trials within the department, and complete a project with a view to submission for peer-review publication. This is an excellent opportunity for those considering a career in Haematology and experience in a teaching hospital with an excellent national and international reputation.
All candidates should be eligible for registration with the GMC and have MRCP1 or equivalent. Full MRCP and some experience in haematology are highly desirable. Where equivalent qualifications or experience are being offered, it is essential that the candidate provide written confirmation from the Royal College and attach this to their application. Applicants who do not provide this confirmation will not be put forward for shortlisting.
This post is for 6 months in the first instance, but likely to be extended, dependent on the candidate and is aimed at candidates who are interested in or who wish to specialise in Haematology. Candidates should have completed at least 3 years of general medical training and demonstrate an interest in haematology. MRCP part 1 is essential. The role will be part of a full shift rota 1:10 resident.
