We are recruiting for Specialty Doctors in Acute Medicine who share our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Acute Medicine Department at Medway NHS foundation Trust is looking to appoint 2 Specialty Doctors. We are the largest Hospital in Kent and serve the population of Medway and Swale ( Apply). We employ 4115 members of staff and we are supported by 350 active volunteers and 25 governors.
There are more than Apply Emergency Department attendances, more than 87000 admissions and more than Apply appointments. There are 3 Acute Medical Wards, an Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) unit and four dedicated Elderly care wards, one of which includes acute stroke unit.
The post holder will be primarily be based in Ambulatory Care (AEC) and working alongside Acute Medicine team consisting of 11 Consultants, 2 Specialist Trainees, rotational junior grade doctors and physician assistants.
AEC in Medway is one of the best performing in the region and has been awarded the most improved Ambulatory service in the country.
There will be opportunity to take part in the dedicated Acute Medical Teaching and if required participation in ongoing PACES teaching.
As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development we are offering a number of apprenticeships in Leadership and Management, Business Services, Finance, Accounting and HR, Clinical Support Work, Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner alongside our in-house comprehensive clinical pathways.
The Trust has also engaged with the renowned Henley Business School to be able to offer MBA, MA,BA, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
