Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 dietitian at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. This post is suitable for a newly qualified dietitian or someone wishing to gain further experience in an acute trust

We are looking for a registered dietitian who can work both independently and as part of a team, and who can cope with the challenge of working in a busy, rapidly changing and unpredictable working environment. We offer a robust programme of preceptorship, supervision and training and have regular team meetings. We have good working relationships on the wards and with community colleagues.

You will be joining 7 other dietitians and a dietetic assistant.
The post sits within the Adult Nutrition and Dietetics Service, which provides an integrated service across Hospital and Community sites, meeting the needs of patients across the whole of the Bolton population. This post will be based with the Acute Nutrition & Dietetics team at Royal Bolton Hospital.

As well as gaining experience across a variety of wards, including medical, surgical, complex care, orthopaedic and respiratory you will be working in rotation with specialist dietitians to develop skills in gastroenterology, stroke, bowel surgery and critical care. There may also be an opportunity to rotate into the community setting. You will also have a general dietetics out-patient clinic and provide education for pulmonary rehabilitation patients.

The team undertakes student training for A and C placements
