As the Trust is a multi-site organisation you may be required to work at any of the Trust sites and you may need to change your normal place of work, either temporarily or on a permanent basis, as a result of development or reorganisation of Trust services.

This role is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated support medical secretary (Band 3) to join our friendly team and provide administrative and secretarial support to the clinical team within the Neuroscience Department at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust (Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham). The successful candidate will be required to be a key member of the secretarial team and duties include digital/audio typing, booking outpatient appointments, answering patient queries and general administrative support.

The successful candidate will ideally hold the following qualifications: GCSE or equivalent pass in English language, RSA II typing/word processing and medical terminology.
