The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our busy Neurosurgical team here at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill. The successful candidate will have a good general education with GCSE in English at Grade A-C (or equivalent). They will have the ability to provide a full and comprehensive Secretarial service for their respective Neurosurgeons and Registrars, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask. To be able to fulfil this role you must possess intermediate to advanced skills using I.T. packages including knowledge of EPR and PIMS.
The post holder will be expected to exercise initiative, prioritise conflicting work demands and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the consultants, multi-disciplinary team, internal and external colleagues to ensure continuity in achieving excellence in patient care. Our Secretaries play an instrumental part in the smooth running of the department; therefore, a positive attitude, commitment to supporting the service and be actively involved with cross cover and a flexible approach to the role is essential. A willingness to learn and develop skills will be positively encouraged.
Full training will be provided for this specific role but candidates are required to have a well-rounded knowledge of administrative procedures and King’s values.
I have two full time positions (37.5 hours) available from December 2019, for the right candidate part time hours may be considered
