Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
Band 7 - Full Time 37.5hrs per week - Permanent
Older Peoples Services at the Royal London Hospital are growing rapidly, with recent significant investment in a new frailty team.
The new team includes doctors, specialist nurses and therapists and will focus on providing comprehensive geriatric care and treatment to frail and elderly patients throughout the hospital. This will include the Emergency Department, admissions units and speciality wards.
We want to fill this team with people who are passionate about caring for older and frail patients and who have the drive to develop a high profile new service within the hospital.
This advert is for a band 7 Occupational Therapist or a band 7 Physiotherapist.
In this role you will
- Work as a skilled and autonomous practitioner; providing advanced therapy assessment and treatment to older people and those with frailty
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and community services to ensure patients receive holistic and comprehensive care and support
- Provide line management, guidance and support to junior members of the team
- Pro-actively lead service development, building on best practice and ensuring the new team is embedded within the hospital
