Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Based at Newham University Hospital, the Therapy team is innovative, and creative, working closely with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver high quality, patient centred care. There may also be other opportunities to work across the sites covered by Barts Health NHS Trust.

Newham University Hospital has recently restructured the wider therapy team due to exciting new opportunities, allowing Therapies to expand into a new and exciting areas. We are currently recruiting for the Orthopaedic/Surgery Therapies team, where we have our own dedicated Senior Therapy team, which includes a Band 7 Occupational Therapist, Band 7 Physiotherapist, x1 Band 6 Occupational Therapist and 2x Band 6 Physiotherapists.

We are looking for a Band 6 (Rotational) Occupational Therapist with a background in acute care, who will be able contribute to and support the development of a team in this fast paced environment. We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent clinical and communication skills, who will foster multi-disciplinary relationships and team working.

We can offer you opportunities to rotate across the following:

? Hand therapy

? Neurosciences

? Acute Stroke Unit

? Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre(BHOC)

? Orthopaedic Trauma and Elective

? Medicine and Surgery.

? Older People`s services

? Emergency Department

? Work closely with other therapy teams across the Barts Health sites; Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital.
