Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is part of a leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England.
A vacancy has arisen for a Band 5 physiotherapist to join our specialist team. You should have broad clinical experience in a rotational post in the NHS, this should include experience of on call respiratory care. A degree in Physiotherapy, post graduate NHS experience and HCPC registration are essential.
This is a training post and would suit physiotherapists who have a strong desire to develop their foundation physiotherapy skills in acute paediatric physiotherapy. Royal Manchester Children Hospital is a tertiary centre and as such the work is both varied and challenging. There is the opportunity to work across a number of paediatric specialties that includes respiratory care, orthopaedics, neurology, burns and oncology. The department has state of the art facilities that include a hydrotherapy pool.
You will be required to support the respiratory oncall and weekend/Bank Holiday service and experience of respiratory oncall is therefore essential.
There is support through an appraisal system and training programmes and the department is involved in a number of research projects.
