Admiral Nurse | Dementia Specialist | Outstanding Homes

£50,000k + 10% Annual Bonus

Lymington, Hampshire

Regional role

Covering 6 Dementia Nursing Homes - (3 Good 3 Outstanding)

40 Hours Monday to Friday including some weekends

Full Supernumerary role

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a leading luxury Care home provider to recruit for a Admiral Nurse for their cluster of outstanding homes across the New Forest, Lymington and Christchurch.

 

As the Admiral Nurse your primary focus is to deliver specialist dementia nursing expertise to all of the residents and their families throughout the 6 Nursing Homes. The Admiral Nurse team provides leadership, education, consultancy, expert practice and family support to ensure our residents live wonderful life whilst having dementia.

This post is based in one of the 'outstanding' dedicated dementia communities in Lymington with a peripatetic reach to 5 of our other elder-frail communities in the surrounding area. As part of our community offer you will also play a key role in the local community sharing your expertise.

 

The Candidate

You'll be an exceptional dementia Nurse who through your experience and knowledge can influence and lead all of your team members whatever home you're working at. We're looking for a specialist Nurse in dementia, someone who can instil a passion for dementia care within our homes to further develop our teams' approach and thinking.

You will be provided substantial opportunities to develop your professional and practice development, internally with the support of our very own Admiral Nurse but also specialised consultants from Dementia UK. There are also opportunities to develop your academic credentials through further study.

Professional leadership and consultancy Skills

Practice and service development and evaluation

Education, teaching and research

Expert clinical practice

Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN)

Dementia Qualification (desirable)

Dementia experience (Essential)

 

Location

This cluster of close kit homes are located in the New forest, Lymington and Christchurch. Easily commutable from Southampton, Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham, Ferndown, Ringwood, Fordington, Salisbury, Romsey, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham, Gosport, Portsmouth and Waterlooville.  

 

Interview Process

The interview process will be in a two stage format.

 

Stage One - Telephone or face to face chat with another Admiral Nurse from the business.

 

Stage Two - Formal interview with a Home Manager, Admiral Nurse and someone from Dementia UK.

 

Summary

My client is seeking an Admiral Nurse / Dementia Specialist, someone who lives and breathes dementia. For this opportunity you will need to demonstrate that you have expert dementia knowledge, able to implement dementia strategies and improve the lives of those with dementia. You will be given full autonomy to your role but also given all resources to develop to progress your dementia skills. Salary for this role is £50,000k plus a 10% performance bonus.
