Senior Trust Doctor (ST3 +Equivalent Level) in Acute Medicine

Whipps Cross University Hospital

Applicants are invited to apply for one of four Senior Trust Doctor (ST3+ equivalent level) 12 month fixed term posts in Acute Medicine to cover deanery vacancies at Whipps Cross Hospital. Two posts are for dedicated Acute Medicine, with the remaining posts flexibly rotated within Acute Medicine and another medical subspecialty should vacancies allow.

Post-holders all have 25% of the time will be set aside for their personal development. Whether you want to spend time in research, quality improvement work, undergraduate education, postgraduate education, time working with another speciality or any other area relevant to your personal career, this time will be ring-fenced to develop an area of interest to you.

Whipps Cross University hospital is part of Barts Health NHS Trust, one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers and the largest trust in the NHS. The post would be suitable for experienced doctors who have completed Foundation and Core medical competencies (or equivalent), have successfully passed parts 1 and 2 of the MRCP examination (holding full MRCP will be beneficial) and wish to gain a period of focused experience and training in medicine whilst pursuing ST training. Candidates should be fully registered with the General Medical council and should possess up to date ALS training.
