Job Description

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of nearly £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 11,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.

The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.

King’s College NHS Foundation Trust has a large Therapy department with 250+ therapists from Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy professions. The department has well-established traditions of supporting learning and development, which ensures all staff are given opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to reach their full potential. King’s offers an excellent learning environment with an easy access to the Medical School library, the Internet and other training facilities.

With proven skills in the management of musculoskeletal disorders, the post holder must have excellent clinical communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to teach and develop staff and students of all grades working within the service. The post holder will be encouraged and supported to develop their clinical, teaching, research and managerial skills. A cohesive team approach is maintained through an established in-service training program and regular staff meetings. Attendance at post registration courses is supported and there are comprehensive library and computer facilities available. The post holder will also be required to take part in the extended hours musculoskeletal rota and work as part of the virtual fracture clinic.

You will join a team which includes 3 Consultant Physiotherapists, six Clinical Leads, and three other Band 7 Physiotherapists, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and friendly environment.

You must have a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy and Registration with the Health Care Professions Council is essential for this post.
