Job Description

The Variety Children’s Hospital embedded within King’s College Hospital is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the paediatric therapy team on a fixed term contract. The post-holder will work as part of the well-established multi-disciplinary team specialising in acute paediatric neurology, neurosurgery and neuro-rehabilitation as well as working within the other specialist paediatric services at King’s which include liver disease, trauma, orthopaedics, Cystic Fibrosis and paediatric and neonatal intensive care.

The post will involve supervision and teaching of rotational staff.

Continuing professional development is encouraged through the appraisal system and there is a well-established in-service education programme. Attendance at post registration courses is encouraged and supported, and there are comprehensive library and computer facilities on site. You will be part of a well-structured CPD program and responsible for wider service level projects with access to relevant MDT in-service training programs.

Kings College Hospital NHS Trust is a large trust providing specialist services to the region as well as serving a large and diverse local population. Students are also regularly on placement from local universities.

We invite applications from HCPC-registered occupational therapists with experience in acute paediatrics and with a particular interest in neurology, neurosurgery and neuro-rehabilitation.
