Band 7, Respiratory Specialist Nurse or Physiotherapist
37.5 hours per week (7 day Service)
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic, forward thinking physiotherapist to join our well established, award winning and friendly multi-disciplinary Team. The Clinician led Adult Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation Team (ARCaRe) provides a Service to patients in Tower Hamlets who live with chronic lung disease (COPD, Asthma, IPF, bronchiectasis etc.).
The Team is truly multidisciplinary, with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Home Oxygen Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychology, Respiratory Physiologist, Dietitian, Bengali Speaking Rehab Support workers and Respiratory Consultant support. Our Team are involved with the care of patients from diagnosis (Spirometry) through to end of life. We offer an exciting and varied workload and peer support from five other Band 7’s. The post holder would be given the opportunity over time to develop Services within all of the Clinical areas (admission avoidance, inpatients, supported discharge, rehab, enhanced care and, home oxygen and NIV and End of Life care). Having a large Team allows for flexibility based upon the individual and Service’s needs.
The post would suit either an experienced Band 7 who is looking to further their experience, or a band 6 who is ready to take on a Band 7 role in a well-supported environment. You will be supported in the development of both your clinical and managerial skills and enjoy the benefits of working within a large trust with a range of clinical specialist staff. The Team works collaboratively with Nursing and Therapy Teams across acute and community. We have strong professional links with our Respiratory Medicine colleagues in BartsHealth as well as GP’s and primary care Services in Tower Hamlets.
The post holder will need to be flexible to cover different areas of the Service, and would be expected to support 7 day working. Support will be provided for CPD and personal development.
