Specialist Neurological Community Occupational Therapist In Tower Hamlets Community Neuro Team (THCNT)
Band 6 - Full Time 37.5 hours per week - Permanent
There is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary, specialist Neurological Community service in the diverse borough of Tower Hamlets. The post holder will develop / consolidate skills to provide assessment, rehabilitation and interventions to improve the quality of life of adults with neurological conditions. THCNT has a supportive multidisciplinary team who are committed to the provision of high quality client centred care combined with clinical excellence.
THCNT work within the integrated framework of ‘Tower Hamlets Together’, which comprises Barts Health NHS Trust, East London Foundation Trust and The GP Care Group. There is therefore opportunity to be involved in pathway development and close integrated working with a number of multi-agency stakeholders. There are close links with the wider Neurological Occupational Therapy service within Barts Health and also other community Occupational Therapists working across social services and other community health teams.
The service supports in-service training along with a robust personal development review programme to support staff with their learning and development. AHPs have the opportunity to participate in joint clinical sessions with his / her peers and supervisor. The post holder will develop his / her supervisory and leadership skills as there is opportunity to supervise support staff and participate in an Occupational Therapy student intake program.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with experience working with neurological patients. Individuals should display a strong commitment to patient centred and evidence based care, be innovative, creative and dynamic.
Potential candidates should have current HCPC registration and ideally be a current member of the College of OT and a specialist interest group.
