Job Description

Our Trust
Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people - patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing 'outstanding' care to our patients and rated 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH's values - Together- safe, kind, excellent - are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Musculoskeletal Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for you to experience triage work in an acute trust with comprehensive support and training provided.

You will work alongside the other current Band 8a team members as well as Neurosurgery, Rheumatology and Pain Consultants to provide a robust service to the spinal patients referred to Addenbrooke's Hospital. You will play a key role in triage of referrals to the regional neurosurgical unit, MDT meetings and management of patients in the various Clinics. Our staff are heavily involved in the MDT meetings and training across the region. There may also be opportunities to experience community triage and first contact Practitioner roles.

As well as close MDT working, you will be based in the large Physiotherapy Outpatient Department and play an integral role in the development of the service and staff support. This service provides a range of physiotherapy as well as specialist staff working in Pain, Paediatrics, Neurology and male / female conditions.

The service may able to provide opportunities for applicants looking for more or less working hours, so please do not let this limit your expression of interest in this post.
