Championing Values:
  • Model and promote the organisation's core values in everyday practice.
  • Champion Positive Behaviour Support approaches across services and inspire others through guidance and mentoring.
  • Support and uphold internal governance and compliance processes in relation to PBS.
Building Capacity:

  • Deliver practice-based training to ensure staff are equipped with the tools and knowledge to support individuals effectively.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, leadership and mentoring to PBS Coaches and frontline teams, particularly during times of change or challenge.
  • Ensure all strategies and plans are aligned with current legislation, internal policies and sector best practice.
Understanding Behaviour:
  • Provide supervision and oversight in the completion of Functional Behaviour Assessments and PBS Plans.
  • Offer consultation and feedback to teams to inform and improve support strategies.
  • Develop analytical and reflective skills within staff teams and promote data-informed practice.
Candidate Requirements: Essential:
  • Recognised PBS qualification (e.g. CAPBS Coaches Award or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a PBS Practitioner or similar role.
  • Proven experience facilitating training sessions.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching teams to reduce restrictive practices and improve quality of life outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform practice.
  • A high level of self-motivation and professional standards.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and stay overnight occasionally as required.
