Job Description

Consultant Psychiatrist - Adolescent Inpatient Eating Disorder Unit
Location: London
Setting: Private Mental Health Hospital - CAMHS Inpatient Service
Contract: Full-Time | Substantive Post
Salary: Up to Apply per annum

We are working in partnership with a leading private mental health hospital in London to recruit a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a specialist adolescent inpatient eating disorder unit.
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-respected provider with a commitment to innovation, patient-centred care, and clinical excellence in the treatment of complex eating disorders.
Role Overview:

  • Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care to young people within the inpatient ED service
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, reviews, and care planning
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and clinical reviews
  • Oversee medication management and risk assessments
  • Support service development, governance, and supervision of junior medical staff
  • Work closely with families and external agencies to support recovery pathways
Requirements:
  • GMC registration with specialist registration in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with CAMHS experience
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Significant experience in eating disorder services (inpatient or community)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed psychiatric care
