Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Solihull is a mental health hospital in beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Meriden. Situated on the outskirts of Solihull and Coventry, we provide Rehabilitation & Recovery services to 31 inpatients over three wards:
• Arley Ward - 10 bedded male R&R service (HDU)
• Elkin Ward - 10 bedded male R&R service (HDU)
• Millison Ward - 11 bedded male R&R service (Community Facing)

Job Advert Role Description

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will complete comprehensive evidence-based assessments and deliver individualised care plans to support recovery and transition from hospital into the community. You will work collaboratively with the wider MDT and closely with the Head of Psychology to develop the therapeutic provision offered across the hospital. In addition, you will provide clinical leadership to our Occupational Therapy team, consisting of a full-time Occupational Therapist, 2x Occupational Therapy Assistants and Activity Co-Ordinators/Fitness Instructors.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

• HCPC Registration
• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Clinical experience working with people with severe Mental Health conditions, including experience of risk assessment, assessing patients and creating/implementing high quality treatment and care plans
• Experience in supervising staff and students
• Passionate about providing high-quality care and continuous improvement
• Forward thinking, proactive and creative

• Involvement in innovative service development
• Experience in leading a team
• Experience working within inpatient mental health setting
