Cardiac Radiographer | Cath Lab| Manchester | Bank

Looking for extra work, then look no further! We have opportunities for experienced Cardiac Radiographers to join a small but experienced Cath Lab team as a dedicated Bank Cardiac Radiographer at Spire Manchester. You will be working with the latest Siemens Hybrid Artis Zeego Q Robotic Cardiac X-ray system.

This role is aimed at an experienced Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Radiographer specialising in Cardiac services to deliver a high standard of radiography services for private patients, working as part of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision and delivery of patient care. Please note this role is working on a bank contract meaning shifts will be on an adhoc basis giving you full flexibility.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will contribute to the day-to-day management of imaging quality, quality control, radiation protection and administrative functions as well as covering mainly EPS & Ablation procedures, some Coronary Angiography & PCI work is undertaken as well as Pacing & TAVI procedure.

The Cardiac Radiographers are responsible for adjunctive imaging to include IVUS and OCT in supporting PCI procedures.

  • You will be maintaining the highest standards with regards to respecting the privacy and dignity of all patients whilst maintaining up-to-date knowledge on and adherence to corporate and local SOP's.
  • You will act, at all times in accordance with the Society of Radiographers code of professional conduct.
  • You will be taking ownership and fulfilling the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory training; ensuring all training courses are completed within the required time frames.
  • You will implement the employers procedure, local radiation rules, IRR & IRMER regulations whilst contributing to the reviewing and reinforcing of all local rules regarding radiation protection with the broader team.
  • Ensuring that appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment is appropriate for clinical duties within the Theatre environment.


Who we're looking for:

Essential

  • You will be a HCPC registered Radiographer
  • Experience in Interventional Cardiac Radiography with minimum 2 years experience in Cath Lab procedures
  • Flexible to be available to work within a short time frame

Desirable
  • Knowledge of IVUS and OCT setup
  • Experience in working within a Hybrid Theatre with a Maquet table
