An opportunity has arisen for an Addictions Therapist with experience of delivering group therapy to join our team of therapists who support the running of our Addiction Treatment Programme in our private mental health setting.

About Life Works:

Life Works, located in Woking, Surrey, is a highly respected private rehabilitation centre with a unique therapeutic environment, leading the way in addiction and eating disorder treatment. We treat up to 18 low risk private patients for addictions and eating disorders in a Georgian house surrounded by beautiful gardens. We are easily accessible from the A3 and M25 and a 30 min walk from Woking Train station. Being part of the Priory group, all staff benefit from the range of benefits and training that the Priory has to offer; including excellent CPD opportunities.

The Role:

The successful candidate needs to be essentially an accredited therapist or due to be accredited within a year (such as HCPC/BACP/UKCP) with experience of eating disorders.

The successful candidate needs to have experience of working as a therapist with addictions. Level 4 or higher qualification in Counselling or equivalent. Experience facilitating Group therapy. Understanding of the 12 step Minnesota model of addiction. Experience delivering relapse prevention workshops and other relevant psychoeducational topics. The ideal candidate will also have experience with DBT and Motivational Interviewing.

The successful candidate would work as part of a highly experienced a multi-disciplinary team with low risk and privately funded eating disorder Addiction clients. The candidate would be expected to deliver group and individual therapy for our clients who part of the inpatient programme and day treatment programme (are on a 28 day (or longer) programme - remove this) . Case load would also consist of ward rounds, support groups and outpatient therapy.
