Job Description

Job Title: Sonographer

Location: Dublin

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week (Full-Time)

Salary: 56,185 - 65,062

TTM Healthcare are currently working with one of Ireland's leading and longest established private hospital and clinic in Ireland. This Hospital, based in South Dublin, has consistently built an unparalleled reputation in new high-tech surgical procedures, medical treatments, and ground-breaking diagnostics.

As Sonographer, your duties mainly include performing obstetric, gynaecological, and general ultrasounds independently. Their clinic provides a pleasant, comfortable working environment and this role requires a highly specialised skilled set. The department provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures delivered in state of the art facilities by a team of experienced professionals committed to excellence in clinical standards and patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements

* in Radiography or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in sonography.

* Mammography experience desirable.

* DEXA experience desirable.

Role Responsibilities

* Ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained.

* Carry out regular audits in the department to aide quality improvement initiatives.

* Undertake primary responsibility for the day to day running of the scheduled list, including vetting, imaging & reporting equipment faults. Lead in the provision of a radiography service in a professional manner.

* Allocate workload to facilitate efficient workflow and maintenance of service user throughput.

* To ensure that the three principles of radiation protection, namely justification, optimisation (ALARA) and dose constraints / limits are adhered to.

* Report any malfunction of defects in equipment to the Radiology Services Manager or deputy.

* Support the Radiology Services Manager in the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving and developing the service.
