Job Description
Role: Clinical Specialist Radiographer - MRI
Site: The Lister Hospital, London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00am and 20:00pm. On-call involvement may be required.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £54,646 dependent upon experience/skills (with excellent benefits)
We're looking for a Clinical Specialist MRI Radiographer to join our Imaging team at the Chelsea Outpatient Centre.
The Lister Hospital & satellite sites , located in Chelsea have consistently provided care and treatment in London for over 30 years. We offer access to leading consultants from London's top teaching hospitals and contemporary treatment, with several highly specialised units including fertility, gastroenterology medicine and orthopaedics and surgery. With 60 beds across three floors, we offer a specialised service, bespoke to our patient's needs. Our six-bed critical care unit provides dedicated specialised care to seriously ill patients with a range of surgical or medical conditions.
As a Clinical Specialist radiographer in MRI , you'll provide a high level of customer-focussed care to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography. We are looking for someone to cover rotations throughout our MRI department as well as rotations into Plain Film scanning, too.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Skilfully provide accurate diagnostic imaging services by operating Imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
- Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the correct parties.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency.
- To rotate between modalities and areas as required. Flexibility to undertaken Xray is required for this role.
- Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner
- Assist in staff orientation and training.
- Accept and perform non-radiographic duties that are intrinsic to the day to day running of the department, e.g. make appointments, answer the telephone and perform office duties.
- Be flexible in working within different modalities and sites under The Lister Hospital empire as and when required
What you'll bring:
- HCPC registration
- Extensive MRI scanning experience gained post-graduation, ideally in the UK
- High level of understanding with regards to clinical governance and protocols relating to MRI imaging
