We are looking for a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner with experience in either Cardio OR Neuro to join our Theatre department at The Portland Hospital. The Portland Hospital, rated as 'Good; by the CQC, is London's leading private hospital dedicated to the care of women, children, and their families.

Caring for over 40,000 children a year, we provide treatment for everything from general paediatric conditions to complex craniofacial reconstruction. We have over 175 paediatric consultants available to treat children from new-born up to the age of 18.
The five theatres at The Portland Hospital offer a dynamic and professional environment, equipped with cutting-edge technology that is truly unparalleled. Each theatre is fully integrated and outfitted with the most advanced equipment available.
Our theatre team consists of highly experienced Consultants and Practitioners with extensive knowledge across various specialties. Every day, they perform a wide array of complex procedures, spanning acute specialties such as Gynaecology, Obstetrics, as well as general and paediatric surgery.
As Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will:
- Have a pivotal role in the surgical team, combining clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of the theatres, ensuring that all equipment, instruments, and supplies are ready for each procedure.
- In addition to providing hands-on support during surgeries, you'll mentor and guide junior staff, promoting best practices and promoting a collaborative team environment.
- With a focus on patient safety and efficiency, your role is key to delivering successful surgical outcomes in a high-pressure setting.
- Current HCPC/NMC Registration
- 12 months+ experience in Neuro or Cardiac Specialisms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others
